Who we are
Our history
Trullo the Black Cat was born from the dream of Gabriele Boscaro, a charismatic Venetian entrepreneur who, during a visit to a friend in Salento, fell in love with the beauty of the region and in 2016 decided to buy a trullo that was in a state of abandonment. Olive groves as far as the eye can see, designed villages, dry stone walls, ‘I let myself be carried away by the beauty of the place, by the history of this territory, whose nature I didn’t want to distort’. Over time, the desire to create an accommodation facility grew and so did the property. With the support of the children Matteo, Andrea and Daniela, the trullo was meticulously restored and a villa was built next to it whose interiors are marvellous, with its floors in Trani stone and old hand-painted majolica. The intervention was respectful of the architecture and landscape, it transformed an old trullo not far from Ostuni into a nest to think and regenerate, caressed by a scented breeze and an always pleasant climate. Trullo Il Gatto Nero today is a holiday place in step with the times, in a perfect balance between contemporaneity and retro atmosphere, all with spectacular views of the olive groves and the Apulian countryside.
