We really enjoyed eating dinner at the large outdoor table looking over the gardens. Great bbq which we used a couple of times. A couple of shady places around the house which were nice to use to find an escape from the sun when it was too hot for us. Loved the pergola for the same reason. It was however too windy to use the two enormous parasols at the opposite end of the poolOverall this was a magical place to celebrate my birthday with my family. Just a couple of negative. We had to ask for extra pillows as only one each provided in two of the bedrooms. This was however sorted within 48 hours. We found the beds mattresses a little hard but appreciate it is personal preference.\nA magnificent holiday. Ricordo con piacere e con un pizzico di nostalgia le mattinate passate in piscina, i pranzi sotto il portico con le pi\u00f9 tipiche specialit\u00e0 culinarie, il riposino pomeridiano al suono delle cicale e tanti tanti momenti di totale relax. \u00c8 il posto giusto per allontanarsi da tutto e ricaricare le batterie, non vedo l'ora di poter tornare e gustarmi un'altra bella vacanza in famiglia. The standard of the build is superb and the fittings are all top quality and in excellent taste.\nWe were met at 11pm and shown around in detail, then left to our own devices for the week, bar a quick visit from 4 gardeners for an hour, when they blitzed the garden efficiently, so as not to be in the way. We received a welcome basket of gorgeous local food and a further two packages during the week of very high quality local produce. There is a veg garden with endless tomatoes and fig trees scattered around the grounds.\nThe infinity pool and outdoor lounging area\/sofa at the end was wonderful and there is a proper wood BBQ and outdoor fridge to add to it, as well as a (hot) outdoor shower. The area is all very private and peaceful.\nThe beds in both the Trulli and the house bedrooms are very comfortable - unusual in a rented house. Air-con throughout and great bathrooms. \nVery hard to find anything to complain about. Only that the real basics on the kitchen front, even salt and pepper and washing up liquid, are not there and we had to buy everything from scratch, which is a terrible waste. Having rented a holiday home, it's hugely helpful to tenants that the basics are there and you trust them to replace them. But that is it - everything else was superb.
